Again this year I did the same thing like last, start at one end of Kalakaua and work my way down to the Hyatt where I’d be posted all night. Lets just say the street was fun and the party was off the chain. I noticed this year that there was a lot of popularity in Johnny Depp characters (Alice in Wonderland mostly), political figures, sexy lingerie , and for some odd reason Jersey Shore. There were quite a few Snookies. Oh yeah and lots of Lady Gagas too LOL. It was all kinda hilarious.

Oh yeah and big ups to the promoters who decided they’d all be the Blue Man Group. It was freakin awesome LOL.

So let me set the story here. Me, Sam The Man (of 102.7 Da Bomb) and Nathan Green of New Level Radio were set to go to Vegas for a conference (The Digital Signage Expo). However, Sam’s family thought it would be good if they all got together while he was up there. So it went from business to a hell of a lot of fun!! LOL Sam’s family is absolutely awesome and a lot of fun.

Now I know it’s been a while since I made a post like this, but hey I’m gonna give it a shot. I also gotta admit, I didn’t do a lot of Photog’ing. I don’t know why really. Part of me just wanted to enjoy it for what it was. Another part was thinking, “I don’t want to be out here with this crappy ass lens.”

Anyways lets get this started!!

Here is Sam’s family (omg i had all of their names in my head while i was up there now i forget… ugh F my brain…)

The first night we landed and wanted to eat since the airplane food is basically crap LOL So we went to this place called BLT. I ordered a BLT with some extra cheese. It was alright. I still prefer Teddy’s Bigger Burger (i still gotta try burgers on the edge LOL) by the way… thats not a pickle. more like a cucumber…

So that night Sam got pretty drunk at BLT then we went to our Hotel, the Excalibur. Checked-in and dropped off our bags. Yes thats right, we didn’t even check in yet LoL.

So now let the party begin! We head over to the Mandalay Bay to chill out at one of their lounges. I don’t remember what it was called, and I was dying from a serious sinus headache. So while everyone was enjoy the cover band that was playing I went in search of some Aleve. LOL Spent like $7 on a little bottle!! OMG! Oh wells, so I took some with a very nice tasting Grey Goose Pear and Sprite. I know, I know, alcohol and meds not good blah blah. I’m not pregnant so i’m cool LOL Nah j/k, u should never do that.

After the lounge we were waiting for a friend to get us into a club called Rum Jungle. OMG!! THIS PLACE WAS OFF THE CHAIN!!! Thanks to Gill for hooking it up!

Now thats not all! there is more alcohol and a walk way through it all to the otherside! WTF?! LOL

Go Go pod? what? really?

Yes a Go Go pod! They use a rope pully system to get the girls up there. That’s freakin CRAZY!! and CRAZY COOL!!!

After that we went in search of more alcohol and to get the gambling started!! LoL. Much to my surprise at the Excalibur there is a set of tables where you can gamble and in front of you is a girl dancing on a Go Go stage. I was very impressed with seeing it LOL and of course that’s where we started playing LOL. I made about $200 that night. I didn’t take any pictures because your not allowed to take pictures of the tables and stuff.

Anyways, the next morning I woke up and took a look out the window and found a couple things outside. Like a bible,

Since we woke up a bit past morning LOL we met up with Sam’s family again for some lunch at Claim Jumper. His family and stuff didn’t really like what they ordered but I was very happy with the Jamican Jerk Chicken I ordered. Papaya relish with a sweet potato underneath. Oh boy was that a big potato.

After lunch we went in search of….. you guessed it! more alcohol! LOL Here’s Sam and Gil at Yard House! Good fun!

And of course me… enjoying a New Castle… great tasting beer mmmm

After a hefty lunch everyone wanted to play some basketball and apparently I didn’t really have much of a choice on whether or not I was going to play… So I played. HAHAHA I still suck… hey I can kinda guard but don’t ask me to shoot the ball when my hands are frozen from the cold ass air LOL Best part though was attempting to play with skateboard shoes. yeah they had some gumsoles, but they sucked on the chilled down court. LOL One thing I brought back with me from the trip is a majorly messed up leg and ankle. (It’s still sore LoL) It’s still pretty sore but hey I played it off. Sam’s nephews can ball! I can see them playing college level when they grad. Maybe UNLV or something I don’t know, but they kick my ass… Hmm that’s not saying much though LOL

After the game we all met up with Sam’s family again to go eat at a place called BJ’s. I’ve actually be there before with @Loganz so it wasn’t anything new, but this time I ordered a Fettuccine Alfredo… Mmmm that was good. Here’s everybody all together

I think that night we all went to meet up with Sam’s parents in Down Town Las Vegas (more like the Hawaii district LoL) I think I won another $200 playing Blackjack at the Fremont hotel. Everyone was wondering about my luck playing so we went to Fitzgeralds and I ended up losing about $40… So yeah I don’t know. LOL I think it was my Italian blood fighting the luck of the Irish LOL

Anyways next morning was a photoshoot! Not one I was shooting though. One of Sam’s sister’s friend was doing the shoot. She had a very nice setup. I would have taken some pics too but umm… it was like fuckin 30 degrees in Red Rock Canyon. I couldn’t take my hands out of my pockets HAHA omg I was soooo frozen after that LOL here are some shots I caught along the way though LOL

I was pretty surprised to see that Louie Anderson is still out and about LOL I haven’t heard anything from him, but I wasn’t going to go to the show though LOL I couldn’t remember the TV show I used to watch as a kid with him in it though….

So after the photoshoot we went in search of some food. Now this whole time his family was ranting and raving about this Hawaiian food place that is better than any other place we had ever been to in our lives. Like it was so hyped up that we just had to go and see for ourselves. I mean we had to right?

Oh wait… wtf? ITS CLOSED!!! AHH!!! All that hype… shot down LOL Anyways the place is called Island Flavor.

Well more about them, they bring flavors from the Big Island to the big continent and are close SUNDAY MONDAY!!!! AHHHH!!! next time next time LOL

So we were still hungry of course and we had to eat right?! Along the way though I caught this ugly ass car on the road… that green and gray.. umm yeah no..

So we ended up in the same mall as Claim Jumper. This place was called Brio. OMG! THIS PLACE IS GORGEOUS!!! The decor was amazing!

Hell even the AC unit on the wall was painted the same colors as the walls

So after lunch we went to check out some Casinos again started playing. On the way there i saw this in a las vegas magazine… Hawaii Massage? Is it lomi lomi?

but we decided to walk around City Center. My dumb ass didn’t take out my camera till we got to the Belagio… but this is CUTE!!! They did it for Chinese New Years! It was sooooo cool looking.

There was this really cool looking restaurant in there… i was feeling the harry potter vibe coming from it lol

so after we gambled we were going to go to red rock hotel… but before that we needed to get the car… but wtf is this shit? yeah thats a scrolling sign thing full of sayings about how you shouldn’t do this and that. pay attention to your kids. money isn’t everything… i’m thinking to myself “WTF? r u ppl trying to get me to cut myself? wat is this shit!?!” lol

so here we are for dinner at this mexican place which was really good! it’s called cabo wabo. we annihilated the chips before the food came out LOL

For most of the trip i was drinking screw drivers lol because they are AWESOME!!

Another member of the New Level Radio family Nathan Green showed up! WASSUP!!

Now here is what the trip was all for! The Digital Signage Expo!! WOOOO Except this day was all about getting ur passes so there wasn’t much to see, but our buddy Havoc was there to help us getting all checked in and stuff.

After we got our passes we went to this place called Sushi Roku and omg was it nice WOOOO! and real Japanese chefs which is always nice YAY!

After lunch it was back to City Center to show it off to Nate which he thought it was freakin COOL! lol and look MORE CHOCOLATE!!!

After that we went to another place called Blue Martini! OMG it was extremely cool there! and a 4pm Happy Hour! WOOO!

I had a Grey Goose Pear/Vodka but check this out! They actually cut a slice of pair and put it into the drink! That was a very very cool touch!

Oh! Look who we were hanging out with! SEAN LYNCH!! That’s right! The man himself!

We were actually there celebrating one of Sam’s sister’s birthday! So here’s everybody in the party!

Now of course its a birthday right? so there has got to be some alcohol involved right?! lol

YAY! there’s a band playing… but omg was the acoustics bad and terrible… no seriously… all u could here is the band not their voices. it was bad i wanted to go behind the bar and just start working the audio myself. im sure they could hear themselves in their monitors but ummm did someone forget the audience… oh wells she wasn’t very good anyways LOL

So after Blue Martini we went off to the Mandalay Bay to check out this spot called Mix… You wanna know about crazy high! this place is crazy HIGH!!! 63 stories up in the air!!! thats twice as high as Aaron’s was in the Ala Moana hotel LOL LOOK AT THAT VIEW!!!

Alright so after this spot we went and hit up another spot called Minus 5 and well lets just say it was certainly an experience. I couldn’t take my camera in but hey guess what! they had their own photog there! she shoots with a Nikon but oh wells LOL here are some shots from there

So i case you can’t tell the Minus 5 means its minus 5 degrees Celsius in there. IT IS COLD IN THERE!! but that’s wat makes it all fun! the cups made of ice. the sculptures made out of ice. everything! its all ICE! even the bar!! and the love shot bong there! nice titty spouts LOL

Ok I caught some Ciroc up the nose but hey it was all good! lol

To be honest? I had a great time anyways!!! LOL I ran into a lot of friends that I haven’t seen in a while and that was great. All the pipeline security guards are awesome as always; not the extra guys that LiveNation hired. Of course also all the Pipeline staff. Da Bomb Squad was out and about doing their promo thing.

Now onto the important part, HIKKI!!!! Don’t we all love her so much that we packed the whole place for the first time in a long time LOL. No offense to the owner, but it really hasn’t been that full in forever LOL. Utada sung her heart out as she started her American tour here first in Hawaii. Which to me is pretty awesome. She still got it after all of these years. I know I’m dating myself here, but lets not forget that the album First Love came out way back in 1999. That’s 11 years in March. Automatic/Time Will Tell came out in December of 1998 as her debut to Japan and overseas to the world. At age 26, Hikaru has accomplished many great feats. Five Japanese albums, three English albums, and who knows how many countless concerts. So me, just simple good ol’ Charlie, who has waited a whole decade to see his all time favorite artist take the stage in front of him was, well, OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG!!!!!!!!! No seriously, that’s how I was last night.

This was the only shot I managed to get the whole night but at least I got something (with my crappy cellphone camera).

THERE SHE IS!!!! WOAH!!! Let me just say I was so so happy!!

I know I was lucky enough back in July to get my chance to meet her and I was soooo happy, but this time I got to see her really really perform and I was soooo happy! One thing I can check off of my list of things to do in life. LOL. It was funny that the Japanese people (well just women) that were around me didn’t believe that it was really her. I had to reassure them (in Japanese mind you) that she really was there. They thought her face was different LOL. She did lose some weight since I last saw her in July, but I’m sure that was Hikki in the flesh. She was so AWESOME!!!!! I think I threw off the women I was talking to since I’m, you know, white, but I spoke with a Japanese accent. LOL Oh the things you can learn by watching Anime :-p

All in all the Leo’s were in full effect this weekend and it was blast. Thank you to all who made it a great weekend for me as I attempt to get back into the nightlife scene where i belong lol
